PS Audio Now Shipping Its PMG Signature Series S400 and S200 Stereo Power Amplifiers
Boulder, Colorado, July 24, 2026 – PS Audio announces the introduction of its PMG Signature Series S400 and S200 stereo power amplifiers, two all-new, ground-up designs created to deliver reference-quality sound from a single-chassis stereo configuration.
The S400 (400 watts into 4 ohms) and S200 (200 watts into 4 ohms) are designed by Darren Myers and engineered by PS Audio’s Bob Stadherr. Discerning listeners have long prized the sonic purity of Class A amplifier topology, and the S400 and S200 operate in pure Class A bias for their first five and 10 watts, respectively. Much of the time, a power amplifier is only delivering a few watts, and the S400 and S200 deliver extraordinary low-level resolution and transparency at this most critical of listening levels. Delicate musical passages, note decays, and other subtleties are exquisitely conveyed.
Both amplifiers employ extremely low feedback and offer ultrawide bandwidth to beyond 500 kHz with a slew rate of 200 volts per microsecond, ensuring exceptionally fast transient response and vanishingly low distortion across the entire frequency range. The S400 places two complete PMG Signature channels of amplification in a single chassis, while the S200 utilizes novel engineering techniques to keep crosstalk between channels to an absolute minimum.
Both amplifiers feature an active power supply, which allows for cleaner power and greater current on demand than conventional transformer-based designs. The measured performance of these amplifiers is exemplary. A 10 kHz square wave is reproduced with no overshoot or ringing. The sound quality of the S400 and S200 is absolutely stunning in every sonic respect, with pristine highs, a richly detailed, inviting midrange, and authoritative, articulate bass. Vocals and instruments are reproduced with remarkable realism, flow, and fidelity.
The PMG Signature Series S400 and S200 provide balanced and single-ended inputs, two sets of speaker outputs to enable bi-wiring, and left and right subwoofer outputs. They include a trigger input for use with custom-installation audio and home theater systems.
The PS Audio PMG Signature Series S400 and S200 stereo power amplifiers are currently available in black or silver finish at US retail prices of $9,999 and $7,999.
