Vienna Acoustics to Open North American Office

Editor’s Note: As a sign of its continued growth on these shores, Vienna Acoustics has just announced the opening of its own North American office to distribute and service its expanding line of high-performance loudspeakers and subwoofers.The press release(s) appear below. I had the pleasure of reviewing their flagship loudspeaker, The Music, in TAS (pictured below) and was impressed by its reference-quality soundstaging, imaging and overall musicality. “Vienna Acoustics is excited to announce the opening of their new North American office. This new division will begin operations on September 1st, 2010 and handle the exclusive distribution and service of Vienna Acoustics products in North America. The stated primary goal of this new operation will be working specifically within independent high end audio video retailer and high end custom integrator network that represents the kind of hand crafted, high performance products Vienna Acoustics is known for since 1989. In addition to this news, Vienna Acoustics is also announcing the addition of a new series of architectural products called the In-Waltz Series™ as well as a new subwoofer called the Principal Grand. As with all other products made by Vienna Acoustics, these new additions are carefully built by hand in Vienna, Austria with the same care and hand crafted Northern Italian cabinetry as all of our other products. In a related announcement, Vienna Acoustics announced the appointment of industry veteran Patrick Butler to its new North American team. Mr. Butler has many years experience working within the high end community. He will begin his new position as Eastern Sales Manager immediately and start his preparation for the new division’s grand opening on September 1st.

Vienna Acoustics also announced that it has mutually agreed to cease distribution within the Magnolia Audio Video and Magnolia Home Theater retail channels. “This will allow us the ability to properly focus on the high-end, more personal independent and high-end CI dealer channels,” said Kevin Wolff, International Sales Director for Vienna Acoustics. He added, “We of course wish all our friends within the Magnolia branded retail operation the best of luck in the future and offer our most sincerest gratitude for the many years of partnership.”
