Restructured, Adcom Plans to Re-Enter the A/V Market in 2009 – 2010

Through the 1980’s and ‘90’s, Adcom was known as an A/V manufacturer whose product consistently offered high performance and excellent value money. Now, under new ownership and a new corporate structure, the company plan to rebuild it reputation along similar lines with an entirely new range of products slated to begin entering the U.S. market in 2009, with further new product roll-outs continuing on into 2010.

According to a company press release, the Sedona, AZ based firm has announced that, “Effective immediately, Daniel Donnelly becomes the corporate President reporting directly to Akradej Srichawla, the CEO. Srichawla is the principal owner of Quality Technology Electronics America, Inc. (QTE) and the owner of Quality Technology Electronics Co., LTD, an engineering, design and manufacturing company headquartered in Thailand.”

The release goes on to say that newly restructured Adcom will offer a broad range of products, including A/V receivers, power amplifier, preamplifiers, and DVD players that offer “the integration of digital features, consumer friendly user interface, reliability and the sound/video quality that Adcom has been known for over the past 35 years.” QTE’s intent is that the new Adcom will pursue a brand identity consistent with that of Adcom of old: namely, a strategy of delivering “an exceeding high performance to value ratio in all of its products.” Accordingly, one of Adcom’s first new products will be the new GFA-555SE (special edition) power amplifier, which QTE/Adcom sources say “redefines the current state of value and performance in the amplifier market place.”
