MQA Explained in Short Videos

MQA Explained in Short Videos

Master Quality Authenticated (MQA), the new digital audio encoding technology that delivers better-than-high-resolution sound in a file small enough that it can be streamed, took another step toward becoming a reality at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show with announcements of new hardware and software support. (See the accompanying press release.)

Coinciding with the rollout, MQA has posted six short YouTube videos that answer the most common questions about the technology. For a more in-depth explanation of MQA, along with an interview with MQA architect Bob Stuart, see my feature article in the May/June 2015 issue of The Absolute Sound.

Here are links to those videos. Watch for our full and ongoing coverage of MQA as we receive for review MQA-encoded files and MQA-capable DACs. MQA is a game changer not only for audiophiles, but for the entire music and audio industries.
