Marvin Lewis retires from MTM Media Sales—Long-time Sales Representatives for The Absolute Sound

AUSTIN, TX | February 13, 2019 — Marvin Lewis, CEO of MTM Media Sales, Inc., long-time sales representatives for The Absolute Sound, announced that MTM would no longer represent TAS with his retirement from MTM Media Sales. MTM has worked for TAS since shortly after it was acquired by Absolute Multimedia, Inc. in 1998. Lewis and MTM helped rebuild the magazine to become arguably the most successful and respected high-end audio journal in the world.

“Marvin Lewis was a key contributor to The Absolute Sound and helped it grow significantly,” said TAS Publisher Jim Hannon. “We will miss his tenacious efforts to develop and expand our base of advertisers.”

During MTM’s period of representation, TAS revenues approximately doubled. TAS was also able to increase publishing frequency and introduce a variety of digital innovations including digital editions of the magazine, digital buyer’s guides and the largest email newsletter circulation in the industry. “We are thankful for Marvin’s many efforts for the magazine. Marvin deserves a relaxing retirement, and we wish him the best,” noted Hannon.
