Marantz Introduces New Entry Level Integrated Amp and CD Player

VISTA, Calif. | August 26, 2020Marantz® today announced the new PM6007 Integrated Amplifier and CD6007 CD Player, designed for listeners ready to take the next step in their two channel Hi-Fi system with new levels of performance and connectivity options. Both products are finely tuned by the Marantz sound master and boast performance-based features like Marantz’s classic current feedback amplification topology and a reference quality AK4490 DAC.

The PM6007 Integrated Amplifier ($599)
The PM6007 is a refined 2-channel integrated amplifier, delivering the most musical performance from both digital and analog sources. Featuring a Toroidal power transformer, larger power supply capacitors and the finest carefully selected components throughout, the PM6007 integrated amplifier delivers 45 watts per channel (8ohm, 20Hz-20kHz). Designed by a team drawing on more than 65 years of Hi-Fi expertise, the Current Feedback Amplifier technology with HDAM-SA3 circuitry used in the PM6007 provides wide bandwidth and dynamic range, depth of sound and artfully preserved detail from every recording. In combination with the high-current power supply, the PM6007’s amplifier maintains a large energy reserve to gracefully drive even the most demanding speakers with ease.

To accommodate the connectivity requirements of today’s listener, the PM6007 offers both analog and digital inputs (5 analog inputs, one coaxial input and two optical digital inputs) including an onboard Moving Magnet phono preamp along with a subwoofer output. Enthusiasts can enjoy high resolution digital content thanks to an internal reference quality AK4490 DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) capable of up to 192-kHz/24-bit resolution for optimum playback fidelity. The PM6007 is built with great care, including high-quality speaker terminals with A/B switching capability, a fully-shielded internal DAC unit, copper assembly screws and rigid feet to ensure lasting durability and uncompromised performance.

CD6007 CD Player ($449)
The meticulously designed, finely-tuned Marantz CD6007 CD Player offers specially-selected premium-grade components and an enhanced circuit layout including an oversized, low-noise power supply with high-speed, high-current Shottky Barrier Diodes and 120 percent larger capacitors from previous model for improved stability and reduced AC noise even during the most demanding listening sessions. The CD6007 features a new, reference-quality AK4490 DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) offering two selectable filter options.

The new DAC provides up to 192-kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6MHz resolution for optimum musicality that delivers detailed bass transients, the most natural-sounding midrange and smooth, extended high frequencies for CD playback as well as high-resolution digital files accessed from a USB memory stick. CD and CD-R/RW discs as well as WAV, MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF and DSD files are supported. The analog signal in the CD6007 is driven by Marantz’s proprietary HDAM-SA2 low-level amplifier to gold-plated outputs on the rear panel. Rigid feet and a double-layered bottom panel eliminate unwanted vibration from reaching the precision mechanism inside the player. The CD6007 features a internal headphone amplifier with a gain setting to ideally accommodate a wide range of headphones types. Also included is an elegant new remote that also controls the PM6007 amplifier.

The Marantz PM6007 and CD6007 are available now in black or silver-gold. For additional product specs, visit www.marantz.com/PRODUCTPAGELINK.
