Lori Lieberman To Debut Songs From New CD At New York Audio Show On April 13

New York, NY, April 1, 2013 – A special live performance by recording artist Lori Lieberman will highlight the second day’s events at the New York Audio Show, April 12 – 14, 2013 at the New York Palace Hotel. Ms. Lieberman will perform songs in her unique style from her new CD, “Bricks Against The Glass” that will be released in April. The performance will also include selections from previous albums, along with a medley of Paul Simon covers and will take place in the Spellman Room at the hotel on Saturday, April 13th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The performance is sponsored by PMC, SoundStageDirect and The Sound Organisation, with free tickets available to New York Audio Show attendees. Due to limited space, these tickets will be on a “first come-first served” basis.   For more information, visit the Show’s Live Music Schedule.

Ms. Lieberman recently returned to the U.S. from a solo tour of England and the Netherlands with sold out performances. She is celebrating more than thirty years as a recording artist, during which she has continued to produce a revealing and intricate collections of songs, including acoustic covers of EmmyLou Harris’s “Shepherd,” and Paul Simon’s “Cecilia,” as well as her own “Truly” and the cover title of the new CD.

Best known for the hit song, “Killing Me Softly”, based on her experiences at the legendary Troubadour cafe in West Hollywood and recorded originally by Ms. Lieberman for Capitol Records, she has remained in the spotlight throughout her long career, quietly gleaning the respect of an industry and a devoted base of fans. She has recorded more than 15 albums and has toured worldwide with such music icons as Leonard Cohen, Randy Newman and Billy Joel, among many others.

Ms. Lieberman’s new CD, mixed on PMC speakers, was recorded by Joseph Cali and mastered by Darcy Proper of Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands and features guitarists Lyle Workman (Sting, Beck), Dan Lavery (Tonic) and Jason Orme (Alanis Morrisette) and keyboardist Timothy Drury (The Eagles). The collection of songs reflects the soul of an artist influenced by her personal life experiences and deeply emotional relationships. For more information about the new album, visit www.lorilieberman.com.

The second annual New York Audio Show, produced by The Chester Group, also features clinics, seminars and panel discussions conducted by a dozen renowned audio and music experts; workshops on vinyl-oriented topics and exhibits and demonstrations from more than 80 companies. Other show highlights will include an exclusive sneak preview and private screenings of Last Shop Standing, the official Record Store Day Film for 2013; Classic Album Sunday listening experience sessions, and daily live performances by Chesky Records artists.
