Harry Pearson, founder of The Absolute Sound, passed away on November 4th. Perhaps like many of you, HP was my first hero in this hobby. His writing in TAS was largely responsible for opening up the world of high-end audio to me. HP not only kept me engaged in the hobby, he also entertained and educated me in the process. I will always cherish my discussions about music and audio with Harry as well as our friendship.
While there are several wonderful blogs on the site from TAS staff commemorating Harry, we wanted to do something more to honor him. We have created a “Wall of Remembrance” for HP that we intend to be a permanent part of this site.
Several industry luminaries and long-time associates of HP have already contributed to the Wall. You can read them at: https://www.theabsolutesound.com/tribute/harry-pearson/
We also welcome you to submit your remembrances and thoughts about this industry giant on the “HP Wall of Remembrance.” Go to: https://www.theabsolutesound.com/tribute/harry-pearson/
Rest in peace, Harry, and may your memory live on eternally.
