AXPONA to Feature Exhibitor Specials and Music Showcases for Audiophiles and Music Lovers

April 7, 2015 – AXPONA / Audio Con, taking place at the end of this month, April 24-26^th, at the Westin O’Hare in Chicago, will feature exciting deals from participating exhibitors, music to delight the listener, and many more special events spanning the 3 day event.

The WDCB returns to AXPONA / Audio Con in 2015 to present two great local music acts. On Saturday, April 25^th from 2-4pm, WDCB presents the Chris Greene Quartet (CGQ). At a time when jazz continues to seek new audiences, the Chris Greene Quartet sits poised on the future’s cusp. The CGQ uses familiar modern materials as a bridge between jazz and other genres. The WDCB also presents Zvonimir Tot and Steve Ramsdell on Sunday, April 26^th from 1:30-3:30pm. Zvonimir Tot is a Chicago-based jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger with a style deeply rooted in the jazz tradition but flavored by his European origin. Guitarist Steve Ramsdell, originally from Solana Beach, CA, has performed with jazz legends such as Rufus Reid, Barry Harris, John Abercrombie and many others. AXPONA / Audio Con is thrilled to be partnering with the WDCB again to expand the live music offerings. The showcases are open to all attendees – more information can be found here.

In addition to the Chris Greene Quartet, AXPONA / Audio Con will offer music performances by Patricia Barber (tickets available), John Primer and The Real Deal Blues Band (tickets available), and John Moulder and Friends (open to all attendees).

There will also be no shortage of special events, giveaways and demos from AXPONA / Audio Con exhibitors. The Legendary UHA After Hours Master Tape Event will take place again at the high-end audio event.

“For the second year in a row we are excited to bring legendary UHA After Hours Mater Tape Event to AXPONA”, says Greg Beron with United Home Audio. “It’s a great opportunity to reminisce and listen to all of your favorite music via copies from the master tapes. This year I’ll have lots of exciting new music you won’t want to miss. Last year we had a great time and we invite all attendees to stop by both the Banks (MBL North America) and Washington Rooms (UHA, Jolida / Luxor, Synergistic Research) Friday and Saturday night starting at 9 pm till past your bed time”.

HHR Exotic Speakers will be offering “An after- hours listening session” to audiophiles so they have the opportunity to get better acquainted with a few of their many distinguished guest “speakers”. Legacy Audio will also hold their Backstage Event throughout the event this year where they will compare new master DXD recordings from Sono Luminous at 352/96/44kHz resolutions on the reference flagship Legacy V speaker system with the Wavelet processor.  Be sure to stop by these exhibitors and take a listen!
