Qobuz Comes to Cambridge Audio’s Award-Winning Network Streamers
London, UK | December 17, 2019 – Renowned British audio specialist, Cambridge Audio, has added full support of high resolution audio music streaming and download service Qobuz to its trio of award-winning network audio streamers – the EDGE NQ, Azur 851N and the CXN (V2). Qobuz is integrated into its popular iOS and Android app, StreamMagic, that works with the company’s range of network players, delivering intuitive navigation and easy control of media sources via a smartphone or tablet.
All levels of audio resolutions delivered by Qobuz streaming plans are supported, from 320kbps to CD-quality and hi-res 24-bit/192kHz. Once the update becomes available, the StreamMagic app will prompt Cambridge Audio EDGE NQ, CXN (V2) and 851N customers to perform an over-the-air update.
Qobuz offers an exceptional range of music genres as well as exclusive editorial content independently curated by a team of experts. Qobuz offers subscription to streaming services with genuine CD quality audio of more than 40-million tracks and over two million hi-res tracks up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution from all genres.
Network streamers supporting Qobuz:
Cambridge Audio EDGE NQ (£3,500 / $5,000)
This flagship streamer offers new levels of versatility for a pre-amplifier and network player. StreamMagic, the streaming module that powers NQ, has been improved, allowing Edge to play music from virtually any source. Also, Edge NQ’s printed circuit board and meticulous engineering reduces interference to ensure a clean sound.
Cambridge Audio Azur 851N (£1,399 / $1,499)
You can stream virtually any file to the 851N and its internal engine will then bring it to life. Firstly, all tracks are put through Cambridge Audio’s 2nd generation Adaptive Time Filtering that upsamples everything to 24bit/384kHz hi-res quality, no matter the original source. As a result, jitter is almost completely absent, and the music sounds amazing.
Cambridge Audio CXN (V2) (£799 / $1,099)
With the CXN (V2) network streamer, Cambridge Audio has taken an award-winning product and made it even better. Built to stream digital audio from a wide variety of sources, it upscales for huge sound quality gains, with this second generation edition of the CXN offers a huge array of improvements, thanks to greater processing power and a slicker user experience.
