Meridian MQA U.S. Premiere

Meridian MQA U.S. Premiere

The following is a press release issued by Audio High.

March 31, 2015 – We are proud to announce that Audio High has been chosen as the first Meridian partner to introduce MQA (the new music format that will change audio as we know it) to the US with a kick-off event at our store in Mountain View, CA. The event will be on Thursday April 16th from 6pm to 9pm. Please RSVP to info@audiohigh.com if you would like to attend.

Representatives of Meridian Audio, world-renowned pianist Robert Silverman, and acclaimed recording engineer Mark Willsher will all be here.

We will be playing a selection of tracks in MQA at the event, including a brand new Robert Silverman collection and recordings given to us specially for this event by Herbie Hancock.

As part of Audio High’s ongoing fundraising efforts for the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, Audio High have recorded the complete Beethoven piano sonatas with Robert Silverman, and a set of these sonatas will be made available at the event (for event attendees only) at no charge.* These MQA demo recordings will play on any equipment, so even if you don’t have MQA yet in your own system you may enjoy them.

Mark Willsher (who produced the music for the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit trilogy, and many other films as well as classical music albums) did the recordings for us. He will also be at the event to talk about his impressions of MQA.

The event will be on Thursday, April 16th from 6pm to 9pm. Please RSVP and let us know if you can make it to our event. We hope to see you there.
