P7’s success and popularity was largely derived from the innovative use of Hi-Fi inspired drive units – closer to the approach used in traditional Hi-Fi speakers. Since that breakthrough, Bowers & Wilkins engineers have been working on applying the redesigned drivers of P7 to other headphone form factors. The result is the new and vastly improved P5 Series 2.
Like P7, the new P5 Series 2 uses drivers with a suspended diaphragm far more like a traditional speaker than other headphones, delivering more precise movement.
