Baetis Introduces the Prodigy

The following is a press release issued by Baetis Audio.

September 15, 2015 - Baetis™ Audio, makers of the very finest audiophile servers/computers, are proud to announce our newest server, the Prodigy by Baetis.  This unit is sold ONLY online, so there are no dealer services associated with it.  The unit has the same chassis, cooling system, and CPU as the Revolution III.  Like all three of the Baetis servers – the Revolution series, the XR3, and the Reference -- the Prodigy has a version of the Reference’s special daughterboard.  This board takes the VERY good SPDIF signal straight from the motherboard, then a) improves the shape of the digital signal wave form; b) increases amplitude with no noise; and c) reduces rise time.  The result is greater accuracy and improved presence and soundstage.

The Prodigy provides significantly better 2-channel audio than our highly reviewed Revolution II, at a price that is very competitive with any music or media server out there.  The Prodigy comes with a 14-day trial period so that you can compare it to your own current computer, player, or server.  The Prodigy is also a low cost way of auditioning your first high-end DAC if you are just getting into audiophile digital music.

Like all Baetis audiophile computers, the Prodigy can rip CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays.  It can play any format of audio including DSD files, which can be downloaded or professionally ripped from SACDs.  DSD can be played either via DoP over USB, or straight over our proprietary SPDIF output, or via transcoding DSD to WAV (the best sound for most of the best DACs).  The sound will be better than ANY universal disc player, no matter how expensive (assuming your DAC is up to snuff).  The integrated video circuitry plays ripped Blu-ray up to 4K, using the JRiver Media Center software that dominates the media computer market.  The video quality is equal to that of the best Blu-ray disc players.  And, of course, a real computer can stream anything.

Read our reviews at www.baetisaudio.com.  Price is $2895, including our special pure-sine-wave uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for AC, and our special high-amperage, low ripple/noise switch-mode ac/dc converter.

So long as your receiver, pre/pro, or DAC has at least a single coaxial digital input, you WILL hear the best two-channel audio you have ever heard in your system, plus you will receive our highly touted Managing Digital Audio® customer support.  No player, streamer, server, or combination box can do as much as the Prodigy, nor with anywhere near the audio quality.  Available ONLY in the U.S. and Canada.
