Sonus faber Releases Olympica III in Wenge Finish

August 21, 2017 – Sonus faber created a family of speakers rich in contents but also evocative of visual and tactile emotions that always characterized its production. Thus, wood, leather and timeless craftsmanship, values of careful and passionate production, able to make anyone understand the sincere love for their work and Music.

The Sonus faber Olympica collection is made up of four passive loudspeakers aesthetically characterized by the use of two iconic Sonus faber noble materials, walnut wood and natural leather.

With this project Sonus faber has been able, with great balance, to unite its quintessential style with the introduction of significant elements of technological innovation, therefore combining modernity with the classic stylistic canons of Sonus faber. The Sonus faber Olympica collection also represents the desire of Sonus faber to offer its clients a range of models so that everyone can find the right solution in terms of use (two channel or home theatre) and in terms of space (bookshelf or floor-standing in various dimensions) always insuring the historic Sonus faber quality in relation to implemented materials, design features, performance, and of course the exclusive charm of a speaker designed as a musical instrument and entirely produced in Italy.

Technical Specifications

ASYMMETRICAL CABINET
Inspired by lyra and lute shape, with particular asymmetrical section, to further launches the concept of no parallel walls and no sound distortion.

BASS REFLEX “STEALTH ULTRAFLEX”
The original bass-reflex system, with perforated vertical and lateral metal sheets, guarantees speed, articulation and extension to medium-low frequencies. The user shall optimize the speaker performance, by deciding whether to position the speakers, with the reflex outlet towards the inside or the outside.

CROSSOVER
Non-resonant “progressive slope” design, optimized amplitude/phase response for optimal space/time performance. Low pass cross-over point 2.500 Hz.
Highest quality components are used including Mundorf Evo Oil capacitors and Jantzen inductor.

DRIVER
They are all new and original project for the Sonus faber laboratories, assembled by highly accomplished Scandinavian companies.

SOLID WALNUT TOP
Covered of natural bull leather.

SOLID WALNUT BASE
It provides a better resonance spectrum distribution.

TRIPLE CURVATURE PROFILE OF THE SIDES
Gives an extraordinary reduction of internal resonances.

REAR TERMINAL
Designed for bi-wiring/bi-amps to allow the system to grow over time.

MULTI-CHANNEL AND HOME THEATER SYSTEM
