The 2009 Consumer Electronics Show starts this Thursday (January 8) and the TAS editorial team will be there in-force to bring you all the news. Starting this Friday, watch the TAS Editors’ Blog for breaking news stories, exciting product introductions, technology breakthroughs, best-sound reports, and our first impressions of a wide range of new gear coming your way in 2009. Our editorial team in Las Vegas bringing you the news includes Jonathan Valin, Neil Gader, Jim Hannon, Steven Stone, Chris Martens, Alan Taffel, Dick Olsher, and me. We’ll have complete and detailed coverage online beginning January 16, and our full print report will appear in the April/May issue of The Absolute Sound (which mails to subscribers on February 24).
Among the most eagerly anticipated products are the Magico V2 and M5 loudspeakers (both of which will be demonstrated with high-res music servers), the debut of a mystery “Spectral Master Reference Series” digital component, and a whole slew of hard-drive-based music acquisition and storage products.
