Mytek Release MQA Firmware Update for New Brooklyn USB DAC

Mytek Release MQA Firmware Update for New Brooklyn USB DAC

The following is a press release issued by MyTek.

New York | April 12, 2016 – Mytek Digital has announced the release of the MQA™ firmware update which now enables the new state of the art Brooklyn DAC/Headphone/Preamplifier to decode all MQA files in addition to all other formats, including PCM 384k/32bit, DSD256 and analog phono playback.

After Meridian, Mytek is the second MQA licensee to release the firmware update with the MQA technology.

MQA is a revolutionary end-to-end technology that captures and delivers master quality audio in a file that’s small enough to stream or download. And because it’s fully authenticated, the listener can be sure they are hearing exactly what the artist recorded and approved in the studio.

On April 12th, the MQA enabled firmware will be available for download at http://mytekdigital.com/hifi/support/ and can be installed by several hundreds of current Brooklyn DAC owners.  The new firmware enables full MQA listening experience with MQA files available for download from various high resolution music download sites.

Full details are at: http://www.mqa.co.uk/customer/news/post/where-to-buy-mqa-music

Later this year, availability of high resolution music streaming services using MQA format is expected.
