DALI Debuts Rubicon Speaker Series

DALI Debuts Rubicon Speaker Series

August 12, 2014 – Dallas, TX – The Sound Organisation, North American importer and distributor of European Audio products, is pleased to announce the US DEBUT of DALI’s brand new loudspeaker series, the Rubicon.

The RUBICON Series consists of three floor standing models, The Rubicon 8, Rubicon 6 and Rubicon 5, the bookshelf Rubicon 2, all can be used in front, rear or surround applications and Rubicon L/C/R. Designed with DALI SMC Drive Technology, unique tweeter and cabinet designs, all models are wrapped in a clean modern, Danish design. Crafted into each Rubicon are the following proprietary elements.

RUBICON Woofers. Drawing upon the heritage of EPICON, the patented SMC-based ‘Linear Drive System’ used in RUBICON dramatically reduces unwanted distortion. The DALI proprietary wood-fibre cone woofers are optimized for long excursion, and a large useful frequency range insuring that the roll-off is handled in the crossover and not in the driver

Rubicon Tweeters. DALI makes use of both the soft dome tweeter working alone, and the hybrid tweeter configuration results in an amazing execution of high frequencies. The voice coil used in the RUBICON series is designed to be very light and agile to achieve a broader bandwidth. This lighter voice coil is placed inside a powerful ferrite magnet that keeps tight control of its movements. The ribbon tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and combining it with the soft dome, the tweeter module starts working as low as 2.5 kHz, passing up to the ribbon at 15kHz and above.
